York's finest Inn built into the medieval gates and walls right next to the Minster. An historic building in a fabulous location at the heart of this ancient city.
With just 12 individually designed rooms, the Inn is a maze of corridors, staircases, little snugs and bars with open fires and a delicious atmosphere from the last privately owned Inn in York. We have the best beer garden in the city with incredible Minster views and al fresco eating and drinking at the Lion Bar Outdoor Grill (open on most fine days).
The Lamb & Lion Inn has an excellent selection of real ales, wine and Champagne whilst our chefs update our blackboards each day with good, simple dishes cooked from fresh ingredients.
